The conference on the liturgy needs to discuss the case of Bishop Charles Morerod O.P who basis his errors on Vatican Council II and offers Holy Mass.

Catholic media at the conference need to observe that Bishop Morerod like many other priests and bishops , is rejecting the Catechism of the Catholic Church (Outside the Church No Salvation  846 and Mortal Sin 1854-1856)on the issues of salvation and grave sin. Yet this is not an impediment for him offering Holy Mass.

This former Rector of the Angelicum University, Rome believes and affirms :-

1) He could see known, visible exceptions, in the present times, to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus. So there are known exceptions to the dogma in the present times, in reality (This is alleged in two theological papers of the International Theological Commission when he was the Secretary General)

2) The bishop could see known and visible exceptions to the traditional teaching on mortal sin. (This was being taught and still is taught at the Angelicum University, Rome where he was the Rector)

The bishop is a good person. He is a bishop. I would never dare comment on anyone's personalty or charachter and so it is not being done here. I am restricting myself to doctrine.

He may not consider this rejection of the Church's teachings on faith and morals a sin, since so many others  are also following the error and offering Holy Mass in the vernacular.

The liturgy is being politicised. To remain politically correct and to avoid penalties, the faith is being compromised on two issues, while Holy Mass is being offered in this condition of sin.

There is a rejection of Vatican Council II which does not state there are known exceptions to the dogma extra ecclesiam nulla salus or that there are known exceptions to the Church's teaching on mortal sin. Yet this bishop placed restrictions on the SSPX priests offering the Latin Mass in his diocese. He cited the rejection of Vatican Council II by the SSPX as a reason. He mentioned that the issue was doctrine.Yet Christian denominations which do not accept Vatican Council II and do not believe the Eucharist is the Real Presence of Jesus, as does the SSPX, are allowed to use churches in his diocese.

Holy Mass is being politicised on the issues of salvation and mortal sin just as the American and Irish bishops have politicised the issue of the Eucharist, which is given at Holy Mass to pro- abortion politicians in power.
